About
Sam Kelly is an independent gambling researcher with a software-auditing background, covering crypto-first crash titles and provably-fair RNG since 2020. Real-money testing across UKGC, MGA, and Curaçao operators. Based in Dublin.
Before joining CrashAudit in 2024, Sam spent six years as a security engineer auditing payment-flow code for two FinTech companies based in Dublin and Berlin. That background shapes how he reviews crash titles: the Chicken Road 2 fairness whitepaper gets read carefully, the SHA-256 commitment chain gets verified against an independent script, and the operator's claimed RTP gets cross-checked against the studio's actual configuration JSON. Marketing copy gets ignored.
Methodology
Every casino on Sam's review list is tested with real money — typically a $100-$200 deposit, a 100-round minimum on the title under review, and at least one withdrawal attempt with documented elapsed time. Operators that stall payouts past 72 hours get flagged in the review without softening. Operators with unverifiable Curaçao licence numbers do not reach the recommended list at all.
For the math side, Sam runs his own Monte Carlo simulations at 100,000 rounds per multiplier target. Published RTP figures from operators are sanity-checked against the simulation; deviations of more than 0.3 percentage points get noted, and large deviations trigger a follow-up email to the studio asking which RTP variant the operator integrated. Most studios have three RTP variants; many operators silently use the lowest.
Beats covered
- Crypto-first crash titles — crypto-native crash originals, Duel.com in-house, provably-fair architectures with on-chain verification.
- InOut Games portfolio — Chicken Road 2, Twist San Quentin, Jumper, Chicken Banana, Chicken Shoot — 90-day shipping cadence and the math behind it.
- Licence and compliance — UKGC enforcement actions, MGA suspensions, Curaçao eGaming vs antillephone licence comparisons.
- Bankroll and Kelly sizing — closed-form bet-size calculations for crash titles given variance, edge and target ruin probability.
Editorial standards
Sam does not accept paid placements, sponsored reviews, or "guest post" arrangements. Affiliate commission funds the site, but operators have no editorial input — the review draft never leaves CrashAudit before publication. Material errors are corrected on the page itself with a visible changelog; reviews are not silently rewritten when an operator complains.
Sources are cited inline. When a claim is based on a regulator filing, the filing is linked. When a claim is based on a player report from a forum, the forum thread is linked and the date noted. Anonymous tips are followed up but are not published as fact unless a second independent source confirms.
